"He trains my hands for War"

Psalm 144:1-2 (KJV)

1 Blessed be the Lord my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, And my fingers to fight: 2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me.

The word "Polemics" comes from the Greek word "Polemos" which means "war." As Christians we are called to contend earnestly for the faith (Jude 3), and to wage war on the flesh (1st Corinthians 9:27, Romans 13:14) and the devil (Ephesians 6:10-11, 4:7-10, 1st Peter 5:8-9.)

If that is true, and it very much is, you have to ask yourself the following questions:

Is not man's life upon earth war? (Job 7:1)

Does not the Son of God go forth to war? (Revelation 19:11-16)

Does not your King call you to arms? (Matthew 16:24)

Will you not answer the call?
